EIN-O SCIENCE: Egg Science (approx $10.00, Tedco) is a science kit that is part of the 'Top Test Tubes' line. It is aimed at kids ages 8+. This kit includes: balloons, salt, vinegar, straws, cardboard, a measuring spoon, and Silly Putty in a fake eggshell.

The Egg Science kit includes 6 experiments. One of the experiments listed was just an explanation about eggs. Overall, the instructions were very clear and easy to follow, but in one case it was not clear what type of container to use. Four out of the six experiments were new and very interesting, but two experiments were more commonly known e.g. salt and water will cause an egg to float. Younger children will enjoy this kit with adult supervision/help, because some experiments might be confusing for younger children. This kit might inspire kids to become more interested in science. Also, because of the simplicity and fun of these experiments, it might inspire kids to make their own. In this kit the experiments have a range of time needed from 5 minutes to 4 days, and could keep kids entertained more than a trip to the movies would, for about the same price.

Conclusion: This is a great kit for kids 8+, and it's a great value for ten dollars.
